So I’ve been living here in the US for the past 5 years and now I (or should I say we), are actually on the hunt to buy our own house. How exciting! Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d actually buy my own house here. I’ve also never bought a house in my home country so this is a new experience for me. But also the thought of having a 30-year fixed loan scares me. Owning a house is like a commitment, more like a marriage. Hmmm.
But I am also tired of paying $1800 rent for a small, one bedroom apartment. I’m sure we can pay a little more for a mortgage but at least we own the property. We already have 2 options that we are looking into. I am writing my thoughts here because I don’t want my friends or family know, not just yet. I want them to be surprised when we already got one, more like a surprise.
I hope we find a good one, where we can start our own little family, one with a big backyard, where we can plant trees and grow our own vegetables and fruits. I’m sure it will be an amazing adventure!
